Elizabeth lake is really a deep pond on a fault line referred to as a sag pond. The first settlers were of Spanish descent and the priests

When his bullets bounced off the creature,Don Miguel yelling and growling like a bear charged & hit the creature in the nose with his rifle
The creature returned to the lake to recover from his wound then several days later flew away to Arizona or so goes the legend.

was a nice warm day 50 deg and sunny here at the house 57 in chassell a new recored for the day there the street is finally moving back in replacing the ice sheet we were driving on most of the winter was strange to be out watching the road creww trip back trees in a short sleeve T and nothing more ( but pants of course)

the tree being cut were my enighboor accorss the road a alot were cut down by the "brushing" op as they called the neighboor I can most of the timber cut up which might refill the face chords I burned this winter right there
